GALERIE 102 bietet je ungefähr 4 Künstlern die Möglichkeit in großzügigen Ateliers je 40 m² mit einer Deckenhöhe von über 4 Metern und Flügeltüren mind. 3 Monate zu arbeiten und Ihre entstandenen Arbeiten z.B. bei der Berlin Art Week (September) bzw. dem Gallery Weekend (Mai) in einer Gruppenausstellung zu zeigen. Das Projekt dient zur internationalen Vernetzung von Künstlern und Galeristen.
Den Künstlern steht auf Wunsch ein Mentor (ansässiger Künstler) und/ oder ein professioneller Kreativcoach zur Seite. Die entstandenen Arbeiten werden für die finale Ausstellung gemeinsam kuratiert.
Die Lage
Die Potsdamerstraße 102 mit ihrer Galerienvielfalt bietet den Rahmen für dieses außergewöhnliche und anspruchsvolle Künstlerprojekt. Unweit vom Potsdamer Platz, dem neuen Nationalmuseum, der Philharmonie, das Zentrum zwischen Ost- und Westberlin. Der multikulturelle Mix bietet der ansässigen Kunstszene ideale Vorraussetzungen. Dabei sind namhafte Galerien, wie beispielsweise Galerie Lüpertz, Galerie Loock, Galerie Judin und BLAIN SOUTHERN um nur einige zu nennen, aus diesem Grund hier her gezogen. Dieses Jahr hatte die Berlin Art Week einen Besucherzuwachs von 20.000 Menschen zu verzeichnen.
Die Künstler
Bewerben können sich Künstler aus dem In- und Ausland. Eine kompetente Jury wird die entsprechenden Künstler auf Grund ihrer Erfahrungen und Arbeiten für die jeweiligen Arbeitsphasen aussuchen. Ziel des Projektes ist es, noch unbekannten Künstlern, die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich in die Kunstszene von Berlin heranzutasten und wertvolle Kontakte für die Zukunft zu knüpfen.
Die Konditionen
Die ausgewählten Künstler arbeiten zusammen in einer Projektphase von mind. 3 Monaten. Jeweils 2 Künstler teilen sich einen Raum. Für die Teilnahme wird eine Teilnahmegebühr erhoben.

GALERIE 102 is offering 4-6 artists the possibility to work and show their work during Gallery Weekend (May) or Berlin Art Week (September) as a group show. The goal is to introduce the artists to the berlin art market. Every artist will have a Mentor (Resident Artist) and professional Coaching to accompany the creative and mental process during the stay.
the place
Potsdamerstraße 102 is in the center of the city and the artworld. It is ideally located between west and east berlin, near potsdamer platz, the new national museum and the berlin philharmonie.
The ethnic mix of the surrounding area and the concentration of art galleries make this place as a unique experience. Here, well-known galleries such as gallery Lüpertz , gallery Loock, gallery Judin and BLAIN SOUTHERN to name a few, pulled out of this reason here forth. This year, the Berlin Art Week had recorded an increase in visitor numbers of 20,000 people .
the artists
The project is open for both native and foreign artists. A competent jury will determine which artists will be accepted upon their experience and artistic background. The aim of the project is to grope still unknown artists , to give the opportunity to the art scene of Berlin and to make valuable contacts for the future. Not least, it is for international network of artists and gallery owners .
terms and conditions
About 4 artists working together in a project phase of min . 3 months .Up to 3 artists share one big room (38 and 46 m²). The gallery takes a monthly participation fee.
